In the hot summer of 2008 I was really happy school was out:-) .until 8th grade came..........:-( I hated reading it seemed so slow and boring.until my book club teacher saw some thing no body including me didn't see.it was one of the best ways to find the books I like and the genre.
She saw I read more urban books faster and longer to the regular school books.I read street urban books faster because they interest me just like video games interest young boys today.I hate reading those fake boring books we have in our classes.it was really strange to me how in 8th grade I went from reading one book in a whole month,then r
eading to about 3 urban books through a whole month and they was not any short books.I mean these books was about 3oo and something pages long.thats amazing compared to these little books I was use to in 7th and 6th grade.
To me urban books show teenagers like myself the hard way of the everyday life and sometimes the good.books in the school library don't always have these books.back to the important part the difference between my reading is I even read on my free time. Im not saying I read every time I have free time but its a fun thing to do.in 8th grade I realized I can say that reading can be one of my hobbies.
Its one book that really connected me to the characters life. This book is the people vs cashmere .this book caught my attention because one of my friends life relate to it.its like my friends life biography .I say this because in the book cashmeres family looked like th perfect family until the secrets started coming out.then her whole world started crashing down.and the same stuff happened to my friend .but both of their life's turned out to be tremendously good for them.
im glad my reading exprience got better and my reading level got higher.entering 8th grade I didn't really no what I was getting myself into I thought in the end of the year I would have never got to 25.Now im reading my 43nd book and im glad to say I can read ova 30 books in a year and now
